Growing Your Expertise Online

For businesses and entrepreneurs that exist mostly online, growing vectors (things like social mentions and backlinks) that point to your entity (yourself as a personal brand or your website) is the key to growing your brand’s authority. With authority, comes the ability to rank content and grow your presence and traffic.

Dear reader I promise you it is not. Think about it – the only thing a stranger knows about you is what they can find online. You are the sum of your internet parts, and fortunately it’s pretty straightforward to put together a few building blocks that work.

If you’re like me, you might feel daunted by all the things you have to do to “grow fast”. (I tend to get a conference hangover not from drinking but from the realization that most of the great ideas I just learned, I will not execute on).

Just remember to do what feels comfortable and sustainable for you.

Plus, you may already have a treasure trove of expertise just waiting to grow in your digital garden.
